We Are Who We Are

You are the fearless love,
the simplicity of life.
You are the guiding light,
the compass and north.
You are the sweet melody of the Christmas bells
and the happiness of living.

However, you are not the lost feeling of desperation,
a lonely heart,
or the unfortunate of going nowhere.
And you are certainly not an old piece of chocolate,
There is just no way you are an old piece of chocolate.

It is possible that you are the tricolor of my flag,
maybe even the stars in it,
but you are not even close to being the vain lyrics of the anthem.
And a quick look in the mirror will show that you are neither a meaningless speech
nor the tragedy of losing freedom.

It might interest you to know,
speaking of the plentiful imagery of the world,
that I am hope in the hopeless hearts.
I also happen to be the shelter of the forgotten dreams,
the beaming light of fairie's eyes,
and the dimensions of a child's reality.
I am also the blinding image of a woman's stare
And the bittersweet taste of victory.

But don't worry, I am not the fearless love.
You are still the fearless love.
You will always be the fearless love,
not to mention the simplicity
and somehow the life.

  1. Lovely! I truly love that you titled this poem "We Are Who We Are." The images you have chosen to go with your words are beautiful and inspiring. I love especially the image of the woman's face with your country's flag!

You are doing such a good job of staying true to being the Chocolate of Happiness....

I wonder who the "you" is in this poem?
